The new Yamaha YZF-R9 is the flagship of the Yamaha R-series, built for lightness, performance, and riding pleasure. In this spirit, SC-Project has developed a full exhaust system that takes the R9’s dynamics to the next level.

Compared to the OEM exhaust, this system cuts weight by over 35%, improving handling and agility. It delivers gains of up to +6.5 hp and +4.5 Nm at 9,500 rpm, with a smoother, stronger power curve across the low and mid-range.

Headers are made from durable AISI 304 stainless steel, while the link pipe uses ultra-lightweight titanium. The top-of-the-range SC1-R muffler combines premium materials with advanced technologies such as handcrafted TIG welds, a hydroformed asymmetrical outlet, and a sporty carbon-fibre end cap. The 300 mm carbon-fibre silencer body features an aluminium riveted plate with a 3D-embossed SC-Project logo, identical to our Racing Department components.

For noise-restricted trackdays, the silencer includes a removable baffle, giving you a choice between 101 dB at 5,000 rpm with the dB-killer installed or 103 dB at 5,000 rpm without it.

The kit is 100% plug-and-play and fully reversible. ECU remapping is recommended for best performance, and a dedicated premium carbon-fibre heat shield is included.

We also strongly recommend the SC-Project ECR+ (Electronic Catalytic Remover). Removing the catalytic converter can trigger ECU errors; the ECR+ connects to the OBD socket and automatically manages these, restoring proper operation of the on-board electronics. It features an LED status indicator and an OBD cable splitter so you can still connect another device. You’ll find it in the related products section.
